R. Shea Brewing Canal Place Downtown

Really comfortable brewery with a good variety of brews! The staff was very attentive and helpful and very generous with samples of their various beers so you can pick one especially to your liking. They have a happy hour and some appetizers are on special during HH. This brewery is located in an old factory building which makes it so cool. Outdoor seating is available also.

This is a fantastic local brewery. The large variety of beers will please everyone's taste. Wonderful service and a unique atmosphere. Will be back soon for sure.

I absolutely love this place! The staff is consistently friendly, and both the food and beer are outstanding! I tried the chicken and waffles, which is their special right now, and it was incredible!

The beer selection is quite good. I enjoyed some brews immensely, while others weren't to my taste at all. As a fan of dark beer, I focused on the seasonal Christmas dark ales. My top pick was the Candy Cane Milk Stout, while my least favorite was the Gingerbread variety. That's the great thing about a flight—you get to sample different options and discover what suits your palate. We also ordered food, and everyone at the table was happy with their choices. The menu offers a wide variety, ensuring that there’s something for everyone. The atmosphere is fantastic, capturing the charming old warehouse vibe of downtown Akron.

I organized an event here for my real estate company, and it was fantastic! The staff were wonderful, the drinks were excellent, and the food was truly delicious. I was particularly impressed by the variety of beers they offered and how tasty the pizza and appetizers were. The atmosphere was also very enjoyable. We had nearly 50 attendees, and the venue accommodated us perfectly. I also appreciated the selection of local spirits. I highly recommend this place for a night out with friends or for hosting larger events. It's a fantastic spot!
