I loved this kind of atmosphere. the steaks were fantastic. cooked to order and delicious. I ate in steakhouses all over the country. that's one of the best. also they don't take credit cards. I didn't have the money, so they gave me one and told me to send them one. amazing. I certainly have, but there are also places like these left. fantastic eating and experience.
When I was told that this was the best place for a steak, I was surprised how it looked, but eating was worth the bad quality of the building.
Where should I start? if I pay $36.00 for a steak, I expect that they will be able to cook it medium, with out that they need to send it back because it is rare. the textur was more like a roast than a fillet mignon. the meal began with conned softdrinks and cold brot and butter. then came the super salty french woof and salad from a pocket. the hatebrown floated in about 4 tablespoons of oil. yes. over as much atmosphere as a diner. gordon ramsey would have a field day here!
That is a very overrated restaurant. the service was bad from the first call for reservations. the waiter and waiter were ok, but the host was rude. the inner is pretty dirty and dingy. eating was average, not better than a chain restaurant, but much more expensive. also there was a plastic packaging in my food. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.
The steak at the Diamond Grille was the best I have had in a long time. The building itself is a little rundown, but it's what comes out of the kitchen that truly matters. Service was great as well.
