Cons: There can be more support staff and they ones who are there need more training. The main host (an elderly gentleman) is good and hosts and serves well; needs to groom his support staff. The furniture and layout not the best one can expect. The lawns visible from the restaurant were not well maintained during my visit. The bathroom located level down are not modern and well equipped.Pros: The food is great. The elderly gentleman who hosts is well suited for the job. I think he should take the lead in hosting and let his support staff serve under his supervision. Bottomline: I did not stay again at Mansingh for a few reasons, but the experience one expects from a heritage hotel is tough to deliver. At the restaurant asking for additional staff to support the host can help in getting better served.
Visit this place to eat good food and enjoy the hospitality also. the staff is friendly. There is also a bar which is always a plus point
It's a great place to be at Sheesh Mahal restaurant in Hotel Mansingh Place. Tastiest food in Ajmer. Excellent place for fine dining. The place has gone too old but food quality well maintained.
We stayed in Mansingh Palace Hotel only where this restaurant is situated. Had buffet breakfasts which are very good. The service staff to the chef, all are very courteous and work towards making the guests experience at the restaurant pleasurable. The food is very good and sometimes can be little customized according to client preference. The interior of this restaurant has been done tastefully and it is a fine dining set up.
Although part of the Mansingh Hotel in Ajmer which is touted as a five star luxury business class property, this restaurant offers a decent experience not quite upto the current five star standards. We had Laal maas (chefs speciality as per the menu), kebabs and rotis for our dinner. Lal Maas was good and the portion was sufficient for the 3 of us- probably not the best available and we have had better Lal Maas elsewhere, but definitely well above average. Kebab was OK - nothing exceptional.Seems to be very popular with the locals and the restaurant was quite full- the service was not bad. Altogether a decent dining experience in a not-so- five star ambience.
