Ksira Gelato - Ajax

What a beauty! Minimal seating, but they make up for it in heart. Very welcoming staff, and space. They lose a star only because they used to have a masala coffee that I absolutely loved and they don't make it anymore. If the owners are reading this: PLEASE BRING IT BACK. They also had other unique caffeinated inventions but I don't see them as often. That being said, their main stay is truly their gelato. And that has to stay. There are traditional flavours like cheesecake, but then you also got a Ceylon Ginger Biscuit all on display just being so enticing. It's practically begging for me to take it home. Which I did and loved it. They also have sandwiches which I haven't tried, but again they are unique and bring in those South Asian elements. Definitely worth trying.

I was hoping to get kesirila gellato and surprisingly store name changed , was there early morning , they ran out of many flavors of ice cream. Looks like they didn't re store it from previous day. Service was excellence but ,not organized and lack of inventory .

I used to love Ksira and would buy it by the tub. I loved their food too and I was an avid fan. I went there recently and wow have they gone down tremendously. The outside of the store isn’t even called Ksira anymore but it does say it inside the store. They no longer serve ice cream in the tubs. I asked to get the largest size but the cup was out of stock. I asked for a medium sized cup and they didn’t have lids for it. The rose sherbert was not fresh and filled with tons of flavourless jelly basil seeds. They should let clients know they put all that stuff in it because had I known I would have asked to exclude that.The sherbrt itself was just a liquid you could prob get from a grocery store. They no longer have all the yummy flavours they used to have. They didn’t even have ferrero or vatallapam etc. most of the flavours were just super plain basic flavours. I got chocolate and pistachio saffron which had that freezer burn Icey taste to it. It also did not taste like gelato at all. Just like normal grocery store ice cream nothing special. I was super disappointed with how downhill they’ve gone and really hoping they can come back up in the near future. My husband and I shared the ice cream and he felt the same way.

Wattalappam ice cream was the best flavour they had topped with caramalized cashews. Totally worth it. Since they have discontinued it, I'm not very inclined to go back. All ice creams taste old and have ice chips in them. The coffee is very expensive and nothing to write home about. It is a cool concept but not a place I would hang around since the shawarma joint inside can get very Smokey.

Gelato is pretty good and the workers are so kind! But sometimes the ice cream cones have a strange taste. I do recommend the almond crunch flavour though, full of almonds and so tasty. 2 stars off because the hours are inconsistent and flavours run out crazy fast....
