L'Auberge D'Aillane - Aix-en-Provence

Good restaurants here you often find where you do not expect them! Tucked away in one of the many streets in the Zone Industrielle of Les Milles/Aix-en-Provence this is a small and beautiful oasis where – weather permitting which is fortunately often the case – you can sit outside under the pergola and (only on working days) enjoy a wonderful lunch. As all other restaurants in this area the place is closed in the evening and weekend. The meals are wholesome and very 'campagnard '. Potatoes, veggies and a good piece of delicious meat. My Dutch colleagues like the place very much. My French and Italian colleagues also but since it is somewhat more expensive they will not frequent this place very often. Although they serve much more, their salads are really great.

An inn that lives on its past. It is a shame that the reception is no longer present. When we came with 10 people, we were told that we were blocking the service. And if the dishes are of quality, the price has taken off. Too bad the spirit of the inn is no longer there.

High prices but fresh, organic, homemade, and what's more, plentiful and excellent. A magnificent setting: the shaded garden. In short, the best even under the hottest summer sun. I recommend the unique dish. The starter-main course-dessert formula is reserved for big appetites. If you add drinks, also bring a big wallet. But the quality is there. To discover to enjoy.

The reception is very friendly but the food is a little heavy but nevertheless of quality. A mention for the lamb and wine map.

The aillane hostel has, over the years, become an institution. An officiated master-hand brigitte and seems to be never tired, going from table to table to another to inquire about the well-being of what she calls her guests. Reserve absolutely because the place is very busy at noon. And we understand why. Here, you don't get a slice of crust paste, but you're left with the terrine. everything is hearty, cooked house based on fresh and excellent products!
