This year he completely surprised us with his hamburger. He serves a big hamburger with fresh meat, totally the way you and I would make it at home. This is a gourmet hamburger, haute cuisine: fresh, juicy, thick, excellent balance between meat and herbs, top quality beef, served with a quality bun, excellent fries and veggies. We ate there the best hamburger ever between Europe and the US!Leon is very friendly and welcoming. The price - quality ratio is excellent. We are definitely coming back for more!
Although a slightly limited menu, you could not fault the food or service at this restaurant. I had one of the salads and the children had burgers
We had a very enjoyable lunch here this afternoon. This place actually delivers what you want out of a restaurant on one of Aix's beautiful squares: a nice meal at a fair price, with good service. My mother and I both had salads: hers was topped with chèvre baked in a bric pastry; mine was a Provençal salad with roasted vegetables and tapenade on toasts. The salads were very large and all the ingredients were fresh. The waiter was very friendly, which made a delicious lunch even better.
We were looking for a simple spot for a great meal and Chez Léon was perfect! The portions were generous, the location in the plaza was picturesque, and the staff was extremely kind!
Set in a nice square in Aix, we sat on the terrasse but being October there was an awning. The decor was pleasant and Leon was very friendly and attentive. We were given a carafe of cold water and bread. I had the dish of the day. A white fish (caught this morning he said)! on mange-tout peas and with a tasty vegetable sauce and boiled potatoes. The glass of white wine was OK. My daughter had a provençal salad with a very tasty tapenade on toast.
