Nautanki Gastronomical Drama

My bf planned a surprise for me at Nautanki on the occasion of my birthday. He had made reservations for a candle light dinner. The table was also decorated with rose petals. I’m not a very mushy girl by naTure, but these gestures just won my heart. <br/ The staff welcomed us very warmly and made sure that we were comfortable. He had opted for the set-menu which was a whopping 9 course meal. Most of the dishes were their signature de-constructed style and they just kept raising the bar with every dish. My favorite dish was the – Zesty Chicken tikka. Who would have thought coriander chatni can come in a pipette, and that dried lemon when crushed can add 5 stars to an otherwise regular dish. Without a second thought this was the best chicken tikka I ever had. Other favorites were – dal cappuccino with fulkas (simple classy , deconstructed samosa and the Andhra lamb chops. The food just kept coming in!! <br/ <br/ After the main course, we decided to sit in their beautiful outside seating area for the dessert. It has a very romantic feel with beautiful lanterns surrounding you. The dessert we chose was – Éclair rasgulla. It ‘was out of this world’ tasty! Then came the last and the best surprise – a live dessert was made for me which had chocolate cakes at the base, on top of that a standing heart shaped chocolate which had – Happy Birthday written on it. The chef asked me to break the chocolate with a hammer, and when I did – there was a diamond ring inside !! Next thing he was on his knees, and said those words.. and the girl said – YESSSS!!<br/ <br/ It was the best date we ever had, and we thank Nautanki for arranging it so beautifully for us. What is most surprising is that my bf (and now officially fiancé lives in Dubai and all of this was done via emails. <br/ <br/ Thanks a lot guys for making this so special. Highly recommend this place for the amazing food, service, ambience and staff. Also if you want to surprise your loved ones, they have amazing ideas for you!!

Simply awesome! Hands down one of the best places in Ahmedabad!<br/ Right from the ambience to the food, there is a certain quirkiness about Nautanki that hits the right spots. The ambience is very modern and elegant. The food is brilliant in both taste and presentation... the chef definitely does the extra bit. The place makes you feel special and has the right tastes and flavours.<br/ <br/ Certainly worth more visits! <br/ The cost is not as economical as one would like but the whole experience is certainly worth it.

Wana treat someone n make that person feel special. This is the place. Probably best place to go for dates. Talking about food, it's innovative, classy and one of its kind. Serving and presentation top class. Full marks on ambience though they can work on cleanliness with table cloth n seats. I had 9 course meal. Starters were lip smacking, somewhat above average main coarse and smashing desert. I am a desert guy, so all is well that ends well. What hurts is obviously taxes and charges,but I don't the people visiting here would matter that. Overall great experience n that definitely a try for foodies.
