Chiringuito Los Cocedores - Águilas

Food with a view. We had burger and chips which were very tasty and well prepared. The service was very good and the view of the beach is a delight. Convenient for two good beaches Cocedores and La Carolina a visit here is a must.

The restaurant is situated above a small sandy cove. Parking is just behind and access is across a bit of sand and slatted boards, which are uneven in places. Adequate for most people but might prove difficult for less able clients (elderly, disabled n.b. not accessible in a wheelchair). We had drinks here and a meal on 3 separate days. Service was always good, but our visit was off peak in April. They seemed to be open mid week at this time. We found the beach to be less busy on the Saturday than on weekdays, which we found odd as it was not Spanish holiday season. We ordered paella, tuna and dorade for the adults and burgers for the children. It arrived together, was well presented and perfectly cooked. The fish was served with a small portion of ratatouille like veg which were delicious. Prices were fair and in line with other beach restaurants we visited. Toilets are outside 2 single chemical loos in their own cabin, set slightly away from the restaurant, down the hill towards the car park (much like you would find at an outdoor music festival). Lovely setting the view across the cove is amazing.

Great location overlooking the bay. My wife had the sardines which were good. I had the Magra pork, a full portion for just 5 euros. Not the best I’ve had but not bad. Sat there with our dog although he wasn’t allowed on the beach. Good value.

Comimos una paella de pollo muy rica. Bebimos cerveza y sangría.

Es un lugar precioso de donde es difícil marcharse pero como en casi todas las playas, y no entiendo porque, no dejan espacio alguno, salvo que sea en muchos casos zonas no aptas para el baño, donde poder refrescarnos y disfrutar con nuestras mascotas. Los humanos ensuciamos mucho más que ellas.
