I went with my son trying to find a nice Pizza place and saw good recommendations on this place and it was really grate. Family owned, the lady owner offered my son and I delicious courtesy tastings as we waiting for our order for 4 people while having a couple of very cold beers. The pizzas are prepared old style, right in front of the customers before going into the wood fired oven. We could not praise enough. The essence of hospitality.
Very good pizza but it's more expensive. There isn't a parking. It's a good and very welcoming place.
Disembarking from the bus in Agrigento, we came across this family pizzeria with a French name. Why French? Strange, but I thought the Angevins left Sicily in the XIII century... Joke. The pizzeria is not bad. Naturally with a real oven and a large assortment of pizzas. In addition to traditional margaritas, Capriciosa, and Marinara, there are many exotic names. For example, Saint-Etienne or Paris. Do you like French pizza? Don't worry, despite the French names, it still uses the same mozzarella or Parmesan. Prices are average. A large pizza, half a liter of homemade wine, Cola plus service cost 20 Euros. The prices on the menu are low, but coperto 1.5 EUR per person raise them to the average level.
We wanted a take-away pizza found this place. It looked like a cosy, local trattoria with roaring wood-fire pizza oven at the back. The pizza chef seemed indifferent, but an older gent (maybe the owner? was very attentive helpful. Other than pizza, we also got a litre of local wine for 6euro and the kind older man found a take-away bottle for us. Although both pizza's were tasty, compared to what we have had elswhere in Sicily, they were small expensive. The seafood pizza only had a few small pieces of seafood on it seemed sparse. If it wasn’t for the older, helpful man, I'd score this worse. He was so kind if we'd had more time, would have eaten a full meal there to see what it was really like.
