La Rocca - Agno

This is a mid-range restaurant with decent pizzas and first courses as well. It's a shame that some items are a bit overpriced (for example, a plate of pasta for children at 12 Fr, like in Zurich)... We were there with 10 people, including three children, and eating pasta or pizza, beer or water, we spent 300.- Fr. It's hard to say, but... if I arrive in Agno, I'll drive another 5 minutes past the border and spend a third less.

We went to this restaurant unknown to us, chosen because we had two people who eat vegan and this restaurant appears on the menu. I must say that everyone was satisfied. The three of us had the seafood menu: a starter of octopus with cherry tomatoes and a small salad very attractive in flavor, then we were served squid ink ravioli which initially surprised us a bit but turned out to be very good, and for the main course we had fried calamari and very crunchy vegetables. Delicious. What can I say: generous portions, well-kept cuisine, attentive service, perhaps a little too fast, excellent local wine at a reasonable price. We will return to confirm what is written today. The vegans were also satisfied.

We dined at Rocca on January 3rd, with two choosing from the menu and two ordering pizzas. The food was good, but the service was truly poor! We had to wait a long time despite the restaurant not being crowded, and at the end, after finishing our coffee, we waited 15/20 minutes without seeing any waiters just to ask for the bill!! Good food but...

Il ristorante pizzeria La Rocca si trova sulla strada cantonale che da Bioggio porta a Agno sul lato sinistro della strada. Leggermente penalizzato dal traffico ha però delle siepi che proteggono chi vuol mangiare fuori. Le porzioni sono da camionista (me ne sono andato con il doggy bag...) ma la qualità è decisamente buona e i prezzi onesti. Inoltre offre anche dei piatti espressamente per vegetariani.Personale di servizio disponibile e cordiale.
