When it was owned by Barbathanasis and his wife it was an excellent shop when the daughter and son-in-law took it over unfortunately not a nice shame, the bread they made inside had a fly, the salad had corn oil and not olive oil the fish was not well cooked shame because it was nice store years ago and atmosphere that I put 5 is if you sit in the wave not in the store or inside, Meal type: Lunch

Next to the sea, the wave was crashing at our feet, impeccable service, the waiter Manolis, did everything possible to please us as customers. The rosé bulk wine sweet drink, the fresh sardines nicely grilled, the fresh anchovy , excellently fried with a crust without leaving any residue of oil on the palate, a generous portion! The fried potatoes handmade, the greens quite cooked. Tzatziki and cheese curds, also handmade, perfectly accompanied the tasty handmade bread. We paid 40 for everything €, quite good for the amount they served us.

Apart from the beach which is close to Athens and is amazing, Barba Thanasis Tavern is the icing on the cake. Flawless and fast service and delicious food. We got calamari, anchovies, sardines, courgettes, sardines, homemade cheese curds and someone in the group also ordered a portion of burger which was also handmade and a large portion. Potatoes awesome fresh. Everything was perfect, we will come again for sure. Food: 5
