The stuffed tomatoes is pretty good, but oven baked fish is not fresh. The fish fillet tasted very strange, not the kind of taste I'd expected from fresh fish. This tavern next to the church in Afionas is a wonderfully authentic place for authentic Greek-Corfiot food that stands out from the tourist monotony. Unfortunately, I discovered it too late because other restaurants in the area seemed more “tempting” at first glance due to their view or stylish ambience... The inner values clearly score points in the Pergola: We had two wonderful meals on the vine-covered terrace and all the dishes we ordered were extremely tasty. You follow the waiter into the kitchen and choose your menu directly by looking at the pots. I can particularly recommend the stuffed eggplant, the rabbit stifado and the orange cake (to die for! . We would have liked to come and look at the pots more often, but unfortunately the vacation was already over.
