Contribuiți la feedbackWent for dinner on a friend's recommendation and could immediately see why people love it. Riveriera Enotica is on a quiet street, very close to the town center. It is small, cosy and confortable. The staff are welcoming. Some reviewers have said the staff are brusque or rude, but we found them friendly and helpful. As the name suggests, they have an interesting and varied wine list and are happy to suggest some unusual but very good wines that match the food well. The food on the other hand was mixed. We were two for dinner. One starter was a salad of grapes with 24 months aged parmesan. The combination and dressing was very nice, although the grapes far outnumbered the parmesan. It would have been nice to have more cheese on the plate. The other starter was an excellent fresh steinpilz (mushroom) cooked and served with a small salad. Mains were mixed. The order of lamb shank was truly excellent. On the other hand, my wife ordered the seasonal special of fresh white truffel served with a pasta cream sauce. As is normal, the white truffel is served as shavings over the pasta and we asked for a generous amount. The pasta was however prepared with a cheese sauce that was strong enough to pretty much overpower the taste of the truffel. This was unfortunate for a dish that cost around 100 Francs. Desserts were good Overall, I would still go back and give them a second try based on the location, interesting menu, excellent wine list and friendly service ... shame about the white truffel. Next time we'll ask for a simpler sauce
Entry and main dish were very tasty and nicely presented! Main dish we had to take without wine as the place started to fill up and staff attention went to the new guests. For the food I definitely would want to come back but as for the service rather not.
