Contribuiți la feedbackThis place has been on the list for awhile. I’ve heard so much about the house made chicken liver parfait so that was my entrè and omg it was heavenly! Even my non-patè eating friend spoke highly of this patè so it was a must try. They do a great GF bread, I was very pleased. The fried garfish entrè was amazing, packed full of flavour and that element of crunch from the bean sprouts rounded out the dish well. For mains, the nomad chicken breast was absolutely cooked to perfection. The beef cheek was equally cooked with respect, it was a hit. For me, I’m not a huge fan of star anise so I didn’t love the strong infusion of that flavour profile coming through with the beef. For dessert, the PX prunes dish was sensational! Service was exceptional as you’d hope to expect and coffee was on point. What a fantastic food lover experience!
I do love the Adelaide Hills – there is something Disney-like about looking out across the Adelaide Hills punctuated by neatly-rowed vineyards. And this is exactly the view you’ll feast on from The Lane Vineyard’s dining room, with a glass of sauvignon semillon in hand and a heaving plate of pan-fried gnocchi, with semi-matured goat’s cheese, hazelnuts and marjoram, staring lovingly up at you.<br/ <br/ A hop, skip and a jump (32 minutes) from the mall’s balls, The Lane Vineyard is a modern cellar door, with a modern menu that has an all-star line-up of fresh, seasonal produce. The ‘feed me’ tasting menu is $80 and worth every dollar.
A true experience. Came here for a long lazy beautiful lunch in the seriously gorgeous scenery only the likes of the hills can offer.<br/ <br/ S N A C K S:<br/ Bread<br/ The white rolls were lovely warm. Oily on the outside which was unusual but nothing the napkin couldn't handle. Served with whipped butter and flakes of black salt. Perfect<br/ Hervey Bay Scallops<br/ Couldn't have been cooked better. Translucent and ideal. Served w roast chicken cream which while delish was maybe too strong for the subtlety of the scallop. Likewise the spring onion bed under the scallops.<br/ <br/ E N T R E E S<br/ Goolwa Pipis<br/ Big meaty cockles served in a hot spicy broth. This was yum but VERY spicy. I have a pretty reasonable threshold for heat but this was a bit too overpowering for the seafood meat.<br/ Cured Ocean Trout<br/ This was perfect. Roe, creme fraiche, dill oil, absolutely faultless. So beautiful too.<br/ <br/ M A I N S<br/ Fish of the Day<br/ Was snapper. YUM. Yum. Perfect. Served with a dill currant salad on a parsnip purée another faultless dish. Skin wasn't crispy but the little potato crisps were, and it was so perfectly seasoned so it danced on your palate.<br/ Charcoal Grilled Duck Breast<br/ Presentation on point, but a little unevenly cooked. This was served with a caramelised yoghurt which tasted a little bit bitter like maybe it had caught. All other elements fantastic.<br/ <br/ Service and ambiance unrivalled and some truly beautiful dishes, The Lane is a real treat with some really special wines.
Enjoyed a long lunch with a gorgeous view here. The vibe was buzzy and relaxed with the right degree of sophistication. The space was well-lit by natural light flooding in through floor-to-ceiling windows. A beautiful view of the vineyard can be seen from tables next to the windows so be sure to ask for good seating when you book. We had the 'Feed Me ' option which included four entrees, two mains (a seafood and a meat) and a dessert to be shared between two for $80 per person. The highlights were the fish and the dessert which came with thin dark chocolate crackers topped with dark chocolate mousse, apricots, milk parfait and sablée. A delightful meal.
Arrived here with a bit of trepidation with the reviews saying The staff is an issue. No problems today for lunch on a Sunday. Plenty of people to serve and friendly service it was. Meal was excellent and the views are wonderful. No hesitation in recommending this place. We will return with friends
