The Duke Hotel - Adelaide

We attended a work function for RAB Engineering tonight, and upon arrival found the set menu was a choice between turkey or beef. We are vegan. We asked the (fantastic) waiter if we could have the main meal minus the meat, not being the types to make a fuss we would have been happy with some veggies/salad. To our absolute delight, the chef prepared something especially for us, completely seperate from the set menu and entirely delicious. I'm feeling very grateful to have not been treated like an inconvenience and left feeling completely satisfied and honestly a little choked up at the absolutely wonderful experience we were given tonight. I'd give 10 stars if I could. Thank you so much. The pineapple and mint sorbet was to die for.

Buffet breakfast is the best I’ve ever had. Well done kitchen staff, I loved the food.The staff are extremely efficient and attentive and friendly. Will not stay anywhere else from here on in Adelaide. Michael at brekky was particularly good and helpful with service. Thank you all so much for looking after me.

Stunning hotel, friendly attentive staff lovely room. Parking is easy hotel is a short walk to the casino, Festival Theatre etc. The buffet breakfast was absolutely incredible. We would highly recommend will be back.

My husband and I have been staying there for 9 years. We always stay in one of their spa suites and always have a relaxing time away. Their king size beds are so comfortable, we even bought some pillows to take home. Breakfast in your room is always a treat too. I would recommend the organic omelette. We are staying again in June

Having been at this plush hotel two days now, i I am confident in my ability to accurately review its facilities. Our king spa suite is impressively roomy, all of the furnishings soft, stylish and comfortable, and the blackout curtains very effective. Our bathroom is large, sparkling and well fitted out. Everything is scrupulously clean. It's a vision of creature comfort, really! Service is not only fast, professional and obliging, but consistently warm and friendly, too. The in-room dining food is excellent, and we're excited to attend the restaurant in person. The pool being 24 hour accessible is a real treat for we insomniacs, and of course the cocktail bar is stunning. The room service tray liners and napkins being paper was a little surprising, and the room could do with a second dedicated suitcase space, but these two issues were literally the only fault I could find *anywhere*. We're loving our stay, and we plan to come back. This is our new preferred Adelaide lodging. Thanks, Playford! <3
