Jamie's Italian Adelaide

The ambiance and atmosphere of this restaurant are excellent! The food is good and the service is great. I had the squid starter for lunch and it was a delightful experience.

I really enjoyed the spacious ambiance of this restaurant, which can be hard to come by.

My pregnant wife and I walked into the restaurant on a Saturday evening without a reservation. We were told that they were fully booked, but after observing that the restaurant was only half empty, I questioned this. The waiter then suggested we could sit at the bar, but I explained that my wife is pregnant. Eventually, we were seated at a booth. The staff were great, the drinks were served quickly, and the starters were tasty but a bit small. The main course took 30 minutes to arrive, but it was delicious and full of flavor. The homemade pasta and risotto were particularly good, but we felt that the portion sizes could be larger or at least have the option to choose between starter or main sizes. Overall, we had a good experience at the restaurant.

I went a few weeks ago in the school holidays for the kids eat free. <br/ What I loved: <br/ Kids eat free school holiday insentive. <br/ The lunch menu options was brilliant <br/ The ambience <br/ The location<br/ The pasta making in full view<br/ The young gentleman making the pasta with so much passion to share the commentary with all the kids and all of us adults who showed interest.<br/ The toilets! (Kept the tradition of the building in tact)<br/ The buzz<br/ The food was excellent and especially colorful and healthy for a kids menu. <br/ The fact it was kids eat free and it wasn’t loud even though there was a lot of kids. The kids were well behaved in the whole restaurant (at least that day) <br/ <br/ What I see could have been improved on: <br/ The wait staff... they didn’t seem to be happy to be there or dressed like they were in hospitality so I could work out who was a customer and who was serving us.<br/ The service was SO slow, well over an hour wait for the meal.. we were starving and yes is was busy but not that busy.<br/ The hectic nature of the wait staff, there seemed no method to the madness of the staff. <br/ <br/ Even though they had the later issues I will be back because I want to support this business. With the right staff this place could boom! I love it for some reason.. I’ve been to the Perth one and now this one and I liked this one more but the Perth one had a bit more spark and once they get that right in Adelaide it will be great all around <br/

We enjoyed a wonderful Sunday lunch for two. Beautiful food, relaxed ambience topped off perfectly with the very knowledgeable and personable Callum attending our table.
