Contribuiți la feedbackWe were here about 8:30 on a Sunday morning (visiting Adelaide) when the rest of the CBD was shutdown. Glad we found this place, great food and coffee, nice decor (all very Scandi), good vibe and quick service.
The food here tastes just as good as it looks! Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. My only gripe was the seating for a larger group. Tables for two were spacious however we had a group of 5 and the table was way too small to be comfortable. Hard to enjoy your brunch with someone's elbow in your face. I'm sure if we had booked in advance this problem could've been solved though. Definitely a place to visit.
Visited based on the recent Buzzfeed review that put it in the top 23 things to do in Adelaide. Agreed it is well worth a visit as the venues is well set out and contemporary white with great coffee, food and service. Automatic doors on entrance are a nice touch. Keeps the heat in on winter. Well laid out with comfortable tables chairs and modern black cutlery. Water provided. Friendly staff without being intrusive. Good menu with a wide range, not too expensive although the serves are small (BLT, burgers, M&C). Coffee just how I like it. More room to expand upstairs as there are two floors unused that could cater for more people or private functions etc. There were newspapers and magazines to read if you just want to chill and read. Not ideal for small families although as it is in the city it's main audience will be professionals. Great to see another cool restaurant in Adelaide ✅
First I like to say the Scrambled eggs were one of the best we have ever had. In general my breakfast of Croc Madame was nice but not enough of the yummy scrambled eggs though. My juice was also very good. The place in general doesn't excite me and I don't see the point with all the automatic doors - I know it's a Scandinavian thing as I grew up in Sweden. The downstairs toilet automatic door in the old safe just doesn't seem right. The chocolate pastry I had was very dry and not very nice. Service from staff was OK but my partner asked if the had any newspaper but was told quite sternly that this place wasn't for reading papers - said that, they did have magazines, so what's the difference ?
The service was a bit haphazard, but suspect Sunday is the day when it's always a bit too busy for the size of the venue and the kitchen (and most city cafes do not open). Have to admit that the mushrooms made the visit worthwhile - delicious combination of well cooked and seasoned mushrooms which really made for an outstanding dish.
