Bollywood Indian Restaurant - Adelaide

My friend and I chose to dine in at "bollywood india" for lunch. I rang up the day before to book a table for two, with wheelchair access. On the phone the staff member was very abrupt and rude. He did not say hello, he just listed off "name", "time" etc which left me with a bad impression instantly and this was only the beginning of bad customer service. As I walked into Bollywood India, at first all I saw was stairs and minimal seating. I was confused and wondered why there would be two platforms, limiting access for children in prams and also people who are in wheelchairs. I walked up to the top area where the main seating was and was greeted by a staff member. I told him that I had booked a table for two and specifically with wheelchair access and he had no idea what I was talking about. He said that both my friend and I could sit up here, which I then had to further explain to him that we needed a table with wheelchair access. I then walked down the stairs and sat at a random table, since there wasn't one reserved for us like we asked. All I could see was grease and dirt on the floor. There was pigeon feathers to the side of me and a water cooler situated under the stairs. After being seated for at least 2 minutes, he asked if we would like to order. I politely said no thank you and that we both needed more time to look over the menu. He hung around in the same area and I felt pressured to order. We were the only people in the restaurant at the time and waited roughly 15 mins for our food to come out. The food was average, tasteless. I could taste the water in the rice dish, the lamb was rough and the dishes were plain. My friend did not finish her meal as she was not satisfied. Overall the dining my friend and I experienced was terrible and I will not be going back there again.

Went to this restaurant for lunch on a Friday with my work mates, only because all other places was full, and the place was empty except for another two people there. We looked at the prices for the lunch special and soon figured out why its empty. 14.50 for rice and a curry, where another place few blocks away serves two curries for 9.90. So we stayed anyway since every where else was full. The food was pretty average. Service was also the same. Time came to pay the bill and i had to remind the cashier that he had to give me change. Unless they put their prices down or increase their food quality I wont go there again.

Had a craving to eat some nice butter chicken and naan and thought of trying the place. Nice quiet place off Hindley street but the food was nt all that impressive. The food we ordered took time in coming ( butter chicken and chicken kadhai and Naan). The curries arrived but the breads took time. Ambience is okai.. Can surely improve the food.

Better than average but not in the very good category. Quite an extensive menu with all the usual suspects, certainly enough variety to satisfy our party of four. The food was as expected but a bit bland if anything, you really want your indian food to pack a bit of a punch both in flavour and heat. It is BYO which was very handy for us as we like our bottles of wine and the service was pretty good.
