Contribuiți la feedbackBistro Dom has always been one of favourites but we were a little disappointed with our dinner there this week. "Soggy" vegetables that accompanied the main meal and over cooked asparagus entree spoilt the meal overall - shame as the rest of the dishes were great. The menu is quite different to what we have experienced there previously but we really enjoyed the mains of the lamb and the mushroom tart. This is such a lovely place with great ambience and service so hopefully this feedback is helpful so that the high quality of food we have enjoyed there previously can be restored. I also missed the beautiful tasty home made bread you used to make - can that make a comeback too!! We will look forward to our next meal there.
Love that Bistro Dom has vegan options, however, personally I didn't enjoy myself much because the serving sizes are quiet small (I get that fancy restaurants have smaller sizes). It was very stuffy when we went here Dec 2016. Would have preferred an exhaust fan in the kitchen or a window open as the seating is banquet style down a narrow hallway and got really stuffy and overwhelmed with food smells. Happy to get in the fresh air...
Came here last night and never have I been so underwhelmed by the dishes served :/ Service was excellent as we never felt like we were alone or isolated, but I felt somewhat cheated on when I asked the owner (I believe) if the Seared Kingfish (small plate) was okay to share between two people which he replied with of course. Couldn't believe it when the Seared Kingfish got delivered to the table; pretty much gobsmacked at how thinly sliced and tiny the pieces of fish were. Flavours worked nicely together, although I did feel as though the kingfish did get somewhat lost. As for our mains (rib eye fillet and lamb rump), they were above average but very below wow factor.
We stop by Bistro Dom every time we're in Adelaide and it never disappoints. Very relaxed and personable service, they let the produce and wine shine. Duck parfait and king fish were especially tasty at our last visit.
Best degustation in Adelaide! Service was impeccable Food was fresh, flavoursome with a fantastic blend of textures. It may look 'expensive' from the prices on the menu but that amount and quality of food you get, with added extras and friendly service makes it value for money. Would highly recommend and will be back!
