Bank Street Social - Adelaide

Boasting a menu consisting of local wines, craft beers, gin, mead and ciders, Bank Street Social (BSS) could easily become my local watering hole. The fitout is intimate enough for a chat, but does allow for dancing at the far end if you feel brave after a few. I have a new apreciation for this space after hearing from one of the partners reliving the process of this fitout on the NAG Boutique Bar Tour. Each brick that helped create the exposed brickwall was labouriously carried downstairs and laid. A small but excellent selection of quality pizza options to accompany a great selection of local craft beer and boutique wine. All to be enjoyed in a cool and relaxed social atmosphere.

Delicious, cheap pizza, excellent wine and a wonderful atmosphere. I came here for the Wednesday live music pizza night and was not disappointed! For $10 my pizza was very impressive the hummus base was perfectly complimented by thick, juicy slice of zucchini and flavoursome olives. We added some Tabasco this was nicely offered to us after we asked for some chilli, which they didn't have in the small kitchen. The base had a lovely texture with a good amount of char. This review is based on the fact that one of the bar staff demanded a please from my friend when he ordered. He responded with thank you which apparently wasn't good enough for the bar tender who left without serving him. I own a bar myself and would be mortified if my staff refused service to a customer for no other reason than because they didn't like their attitude. I would have complained quietly to the manager instead of airing it here but it turns out he was the one that refused my friend service and there is no way of contacting the bar no email address and no phone number how cool and totally unprofessional.

Great vibe, delicious cider, relaxing booths and awesome dance floor if you need it!. Been to Bank St a few times now, such a cool, sophisticated vibe. It really is the perfect location for after work drinks which can VERY easily escalate with the d floor and awesome DJs they have! Also went on a Wed night which was a bit quieter, but turned out to be a great time to have a chat to the staff about their huggeee range of drinks (all visible on the back bar while they whipped up something delicious plus, free pretzels on the bar to snack on while they do it!
