Ihop - Adel

Nothing special about this IHOP. No fancy review. It sits within a motel/hotel around the corner in the back. Seems sketchy riding through parking lot but it was actually really nice and the servers were polite. Cliche but don't judge a book by its cover. They slowed my son to color a Christmas picture and hung out on the wall.

Welp, The place was a standard IHOP off of I-75 so I stopped for a bathroom break, leg stretch and some grub so I can get back on the road. The food I ordered was the 2x2x2 which was a simple two eggs, two bacon and two pancakes. It was perfectly reasonable IHOP food and the eggs were done properly, the bacon crispy and the pancakes hot and delicious. The food didn't take too long to come out and the water I had was nice and cold and tasted great. My main reason for two stars was the fact that my check took literally 30 minutes to get to me after I finished eating... You'd think that a restaurant by the side of the interstate would know how important the customers choice to leave when they'd like to and bring the check out right after your meal or halfway through it. Nope she came by apologizing that she forgot at the fifteen minute mark and went about doing other things after that. I figured I would write this review now since I've got so much time waiting in my check, luckily I have some time to kill before my first appointment...

We stopped here about 8:30 on a Monday, just pulling off the freeway. This is definitely a hard luck exit, a closed strip mall and gas stations. IHOP seemed to be the safest choice. The dirty windows were not welcoming, but we gave it a shot. Only a few people were inside, the restaurant was clean and tidy. The waitress pleasant , food arrived in a timely manner. Our breakfasts were very good, give this place a try.

Stopped for breakfast while traveling a little worried since it's inside a hotel. Greeted and seated quickly. Our waitress Summer was prompt and very friendly. Food was as ordered all hot and served promptly. Perfect stop while traveling for a hot breakfast. Restaurant and bathroom were clean.

The reviews weren't kidding when they said that the wait is long. I came during the week so it was not busy at all. However, I waited over 40 minutes for scrambled eggs, bacon, hash brown, and toast bread. When my food arrived it was cold. Thank goodness that this is not my local IHOP!!!!
