The House - Adeje

After dining at The House at Los Cristianos a couple of nights ago we were excited to find that they also had a restaurant in Playa Fanabe. After eventually finding the restaurant after a lengthy search we were disappointed that the standard of food and service was no where near to that of the Los Cristianos restaurant. Maybe we were expecting too much but to be honest we have had far better meals at beach side cafes over the last week

We went for a dinner two days ago and said we would be nab the next day which says it all. Live music, sea view, no need to ask for nibbles very tasty olives, peppers, onions and gherkins come as a welcome freebie, then finally the best food in Tenerife (and we tried a few within our every few months visits to Tenerife since early 2013), the 1st place with fresh veg of good variety, not canned rubbish, large portions, extremely good value for money, really impressed! Nasir, the manager, is the nicest and most efficient of all, very modest, likeable and cheerful, too. Not so impressed at the second visit, though. It was around 4pm and very quiet, we were almost the only customers. The staff at that shift were very miserable, clearly not in the right jobs for them, I didn't like the waiter's tone when he spoke to us, and you would be more likely to meet a ghost there than anyone with a smile on their face. Tuna salad was served on a different plate from the one I had the night before, and was much smaller. The Club steak was a disaster, so chewy that I had to sent it back, which didn't help do I eventually swapped my meal for my partner's (half eaten by then) lamb shoulder. The lamb was perfect, just as the night before. We will definitely remember the place and we are happy to come back as their lamb and fresh veg are to die for.

Really nice food, reasonable price range, really friendly staff and also great livemusic! Loved it. Could have been a better view.

Pleasant relaxing atmosphere with friendly and ettentive staff gentle music in background played by very good keyboard player.drinks and food reasonable priced.when food came out it looked and tasted delicious.my wife had prawn cocktail and fillet steak 2 inch thick and cooked to perfection i had beautiful sirlion and perfect could not praise highly enough even at end meal a complimentery vodca and caramel HIGHLY RECOMENDED

Tried for lunch one day and we were so impressed with the taste and presentation of the food we ate 5 more times!!! Can,t wait to return in September as still have many things left to savour on the gorgeous menu. The staff are so friendly and relaxed and the singers are good at night also. Brilliant.
