Las Rocas - Adeje

Unfortunately, Las Rocas is now permanently closed. It does no longer exist as of 18th of July 2022. We ate there as the last day on Saturday the 16th of July 2022. I dont know the full story and employees didnt know that much either, but it happened quite quickly and staff was very surprised as well. Might be a dispute between the local government and AMR. AMR no longer hosts Las Rocas, the Beach Club or the Salt Water Pool. Very sad AMR should have bought the whole thing, as it really contributed to the whole Dreams Jardin Tropical resort complex.

Visited today just for drinks at the end of a long walk. Firstly it wasn 't clear that the Beach Bar at the end of the location wasn 't open until we walked all the way along to it. Then we walked back along the front and found there was a bar next to the restaurant. Sat down for drinks and had clear view of the restaurant that was finishing up lunch run. We must have been sat for around 45 minutes and firstly want to say the bar staff were lovely and not an issue at all. However, watching the restaurant staff, they were another issue. One chap was very rude to a few customers looking for the bar and where they could sit it wasn 't easy to see they were separate entities. He turned his nose up at several people as if judging them for what they were wearing/looked like. He then proceeded to shut the doors up to prevent any other riff raff walking in. He also spent a long time shooting dirty looks at other people using the bar area, including my mum for absolutely no reason whatsoever. All I can take from this is he was coming across very pretentious and snobby. What was worse, there is a lobster tank outside the entrance to the restaurant. Besides this being a very antiquated thing to have now, the worst part was there was a very dead lobster in with the live ones. It was there as soon as we turned up and was still there despite several members of staff walking past the tank at the end of our visit. I approached a member of staff to inform them of the dead lobster and basically got told they were aware it was dead. I said that they may wish to remove it as it was rotting away and you have to be so careful with shellfish (all these other lobsters they were going to serve had been sat stewing in this tank with a rotting corpse). Absolutely no action from the member of staff, just complete nonchalence. Just disgusting and completely put me off from even considering eating here. In fact, it was even putting me off my drink!! Such a shame as location is stunning but dreadful, awful place. Not recommended unless you fancy spending most of your holiday in the toilet

So, we were guests at the hotel and on our last day there we decided to have a quick drink at the restaurant and to admire the beautiful view. Most of the tables were occupied and the ones that were reserved had plates and glasses already prepared for the people to come. We found a table that didn’t have reservation and we sat there, excited to have the drink. The waiter came and asked if we have reservation. We didn’t have and we told him that we would get a drink and leave very soon. He told us that those tables are already reserved but we didn’t see any sign. What slipped from his mouth was that he said that that table would be for someone who would like to eat here and we were not welcomed to have a drink. We asked him what if we took a drink and something sweet, could we then stay for 20 min. He was looking down on us and got very rude and said that he wouldn’t like to repeat again and that we must leave. We obviously left the place furious and we regretted for staying at that hotel with such pretentious people. You could tell by the language of the staff that they are welcoming people who look like they have money without thinking that other people who come in that hotel also have money but not everyone likes to look like they spent 2K on their outfit. We were dressed in simple summer clothes, wearing a dress and my partner shorts and a shirt.

Fantastic place, price a little high but good quality.

It has everything: location to sea ran with excellent views to the entire port, close and professional staff. as well as a varied letter. in our stay on the island we went several times, to highlight the fish.
