Calamity Jane's Dining Lounge - Addison

I don't often bother to write disappointing reviews...as I think the restaurant in question will just eventually go out of business...but in this situation I felt a need to share our experience with this establishment. We had a favourable experience on our first visit and decided to give this very out of the way restaurant another try. We ordered an entree size salad and a double chicken kabob. Both my husband and I shared off the two plates. Chef....came by to small chat and tell us his story.When we went to pay the bill and questioned a 5$ extra charge, we were informed that Chef....had noticed we were sharing and so that was the added 5$!Really 5$ for sharing, A five dollar sharing fee for trying someone else's food....isn't that our choice, our prerogative?Last time for us at this very out of the way place with very out of the norm practices.Interestingly enough after bouncing this off some servers in San Antonio, Ottawa and Toronto, we were give the 'are you serious look'. Live and Learn!

Interior is nothing fancy but this is a great little out-of-the-way spot. We went with another couple for the Wednesday night special - Fish & Chips. They were SPECTACULAR - best in the area. The fish is huge so I'd recommend sticking to the one-piece. The accompanying fries and coleslaw were also great. They only had three orders left so my wife ended up ordering a burger and she was equally impressed. We had the breaded wings for an appetizer (honey garlic, and bbq) and they were really good. The owners are super friendly and will often stop by your table for a visit and to joke around. We're looking forward to going for Thursday wing night sometime and checking out the entertainment. Bands play Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The Sunday brunch also sounds great.

Wednesday night for fish and chips awesome...dare you to eat the two piece! Thursday nights for best wings around and some great entertainment. Great to have this place nearby.

This restaurant is absolutely delightful. We made a reservation on Sunday morning and we were glad we did, as the place was already busy by noon. Our meal was outstanding, with everything prepared tastefully, fresh, and presented beautifully. The chocolate hazelnut cake is particularly amazing. The owners are incredibly sweet, and the servers are quick and friendly. This restaurant is fantastic and definitely worth a visit. We will definitely be returning in the future!

As we were leaving to travel home from a family wedding, we gathered at this restaurant for a meal together. Sunday brunch is from 10:30 - 2:30 (or something close to that )..it was quite a variety of salads, breakfast foods, meats, and sweets. Self serve buffet, with omelets made with your choice of ingredients. Food was good. Atmosphere was quaint as it is in a very historic building. Owners were present and very helpful.
