Contribuiți la feedbackA real treat to eat in an authentic Austrian/German Restaurant in the Berkshires! The owner Don Summer, if I spelt his name correctly, what a stand up guy. The food and service we're great . Thank you for a nice dining experience. We do plan on visiting again while vacationing this week!
The current date is Augusta 14th, 2020 PANDEMIC TIME! Back when we were able to stop on in to enjoy the really GREAT ambience, and the fantastic weight staff, you just couldn't ask for a better experience. And the FOOD? OUT OF THIS WORLD most times. BUT... regarding having the food DELIVERED? Do Not Do It!!. It just is NOT the same quality. And picking up garners the same lackluster fair. Plus the containers are some sort of cheap cardboard the imparts an off taste I found not all that enjoyable tasting, all THREE times. The reason for the four stars is mainly due to the three times I dined inside_ AMAZING service from the weight staff, and the food was excellent.
Amazing find while vacationing in the Berkshires, and all thanks to my weird habit of always searching for 'poutine near me '. You can never go wrong when searching for poutine! I loved the building. I wish I knew the history on it as it was old and must have a story to tell. The decor was fabulous. I loved the carousal horse. Our waitress was very nice. They have a huge drink and food menu and a dining room and tavern. We sat at a high top table in the tavern and it was a nice atmosphere. For drinks, we tried a light beer and I got some sort of butter snowflake cocktail. To be truthful, I got two so that should tell you how amazing that tasted and wow, I was feeling it after two so they definitely put alcohol in it! We decided to try a few dishes off of the appetizer menu. The only one that didn 't wow me was the chicken soup with strudel pieces. It has a much longer name but that was the gist of it. Not very spicy or tasty but a nice broth. We tried their version of poutine and it was awesome. Amazingly tasty. My favorite (shocker) part of the meal. We also tried goulash crepes. Very tasty. And big packed with goulash. Finally, we had their traditional goulash with dumplings. Huge portion and again really tasty. I loved the dumplings. All in all, just fantastic food and drinks and a really cool place to eat. Our waitress was so nice. We had a bit of a wait for the food but it was worth it. The prices are amazing too for the quality and portions. I 'm already thinking of a return visit the next time we 're vacationing in the Berkshires!
Food was incredible and our waiter, Adam, was SO attentive and kind. The fish and chips and chicken schnitzel sandwich are top picks! My friends and I got there at 730 not realizing they closed at 8, and they remained open until 9 for us to finish our meals. We live locally and will 100% be back soon. Their outside Biergarten is also perfect for summer (and social distance) dining. Highly recommend!
Absolutely authentic Austrian/German restaurant. Beautiful building decorated so peaceful inside. The menu is everything you'd hope for. The dinners were absolutely amazing. Not too often you find schnitzel on a menu. Or a side of Spoetzl! Pumpkin butterscotch martini was one of a kind. Like wow ! Staff was extremely friendly n always on the spot. We went out of our way just to try this place. Well worth it... recommend you do the same.
