Mama Sea - ACI CASTELLO

We had a roadtrip in Sicily and we spent 4 nights in Cannizzaro Catania and from these 4 nights 3 we visited this restaurant. It was after the main saison the end of October so there weren’t like big parties but absolutely nice bar and dinner atmosphere. The food is delicious, perfect drinks, nice waiters we would like to say special thank you to Francesco thanks to him we had always the best service. What a better way to start a vacation than finding an excellent restaurant right across the road from the hotel? We arrived late that day, flight had been delayed, stressful journey, creative taximan... We needed something comforting. And then we found Mama Sea. From the first day (we went there for 4 out of 7 suppers), we were received as friends. The staff is incredibly welcoming, funny, they make you feel at home. The first thing we saw was this incredible all-white, all-wood deck, soft lights, and a stunning view on the rising moon reflecting in the sea. Breathtaking. Of course the food and drinks were excellent too (otherwise we wouldn 't have been so often there). We tried several of their cocktails and mocktails, ate pizze, pasta alle vongole, meat dishes, and even sushi (ask for the Aqua Loca... something, I don 't remember the full name). Special thanks to Loris and Francesco, our waiters, who widely participated in the success of our well-needed vacations.

Excellent service and very good attention from all the staff. Totally recommended. The place is very clean, comfortable and the attention of all its staff is excellent.

Si può avere una buona colazione in una terrazza con vista mare

Lido molto carino, sulla scogliera di Aci Castello. Curato e pulito. Ampi solarium progettati bene per il fatto che da qualsiasi postazione hai la vista mare. Le prime file sono riservate alle postazioni d'élite, lettini con i materassini e ci sono anche alcuni gazebo. Alla mia recensione manca solo una stella a causa del pranzo come ora vi dirò e a causa del fatto che le postazioni sono troppo vicine e hai poca possibilità di spostare il lettino durante la giornata per seguire il sole o l'ombra dell'ombrellone: pensa che nel pomeriggio il vicino era sdraiato all'ombra del nostro ombrellone, mentre noi siamo rimasti completamente al sole perché eravamo l'ultima postazione della fila. C'è anche un'area dedicata ai bambini, con piccola piscina e ho visto che i bimbi scappavano volentieri dai genitori per andarci. Per il pranzo esiste una specie di self-service organizzato con i numeri, che tutto sommato funziona; la scelta dei piatti non è tantissima, i piatti sono discreti e sono serviti in piatti e stoviglie di plastica. Nota positiva: ci sono due sale per il pranzo, una esterna e una interna, nonostante fosse sabato in alta stagione non è stato necessario aspettare molto, neanche per il tavolo. Il bar è molto efficiente, puoi ordinare direttamente dalla tua postazione grazie alle ragazze che girano per il lido prendendo le ordinazioni, carine, gentili e attive. Musica diffusa tutto il giorno, quella giusta a seconda dell'ora: di mattina i tormentoni dell'estate, a metà giornata musica un po' più rilassante e il pomeriggio già si ricomincia ad essere attivi, aperitivo con tanto di dj, che ti lascia immaginare il divertimento per la serata, ma quest'ultimo punto non sono in grado di confermarlo perché siamo andati via verso le come già programmato precedentemente. Tutto sommato abbiamo trascorso una giornata simpatica, tornerei.
