Quinta Real Restaurant

I have not eaten in the main restaurant of hotel Quinta Real, but the beach club food is wonderful and the view of Revolcadero beach is sensational. The secret is you may not be welcomed on a weekend or when there is a convention in the hotel. On quiet days, call and ask if they are receiving "visitas." If yes, for a small minimum consumption, you can enjoy the day at the beach club with a palapa or umbrella, comfortable deck chair, sparkling clean restrooms, and arguably the most beautiful infinity pool in the entire resort area. The pool faces the beach so you can swim safely without risking the occasional riptide, but still feel you are on the beach. The waitstaff are very nice and I always visit the beach club when they permit visitors on 6 to 8 trips to Acapulco a year. Love it!

Stayed at the hotel and just want to say that I had an awful experience but specially at the restaurant. Apparently the chef left the hotel so the food quality is terrible, they will take about 40 minutes in bringing you eggs and wrong ones! When we did told the waiter he tried to read the menu but wasn't able, so apparently his reading skills are the same as a 3rd grader. When we asked for the check they sent us to the lobby to pay for it.... They don't know how to cook, create a check and even read! Don't stay at this restaurant and even if you do stay here don't eat here. There are more decent places to have a nice breakfast.

While the hotel is absolutely beautiful with fabulous views , you can get better views in the Puerto Marquez (one of the top 10 Bay views in the World), the restaurant onsite at this hotel has to be one of the WORST places to dine I have ever been in, and we travel to third world countries.To begin it took them forever to get our wine order filled, they messed up orders for appetizers bringing the wrong items for at least 50% of our party of 9, then for dinner entrees two people side by side ordered pasta and one got theirs with the main group while the other took 30 more minutes! To top it off, one girl ordered the same steak her parents ordered - she received it 45m later than anyone else at our table and it hadn't been cooked!!! After all that time and the meal was not even prepared! When we spoke to the manager, he was not even willing to reduce our bill and said "If you do not like the service, do not come back." So much for hospitality. Go for a drink and the view - avoid eating there!
