She kindly guided me as I placed my order for ribs with rice and potato salad. Once I finished ordering, I reached into my pocket and realized I forgot my wallet! I asked the young lady if she could put my order on hold while I drove back home to get some money. I then asked if they accepted Apple Pay. She went to check with the owner, who came out from the kitchen and, with a delightful Brazilian accent, said, "Don't worry, just enjoy the food and pay me another time... that's OUR Apple Pay!" At that moment, I instantly fell in love with this place. The food was excellent—the slow-braised ribs were packed with rich, deep flavors. Even the potato salad, which I’m usually not a fan of, was delicious. Overall, the service was incredibly warm and inviting. Given that they have only been open for about six months, I highly recommend you check them out and support this local business!
While the restaurant may be a bit off the main path, discovering it is well worth the effort. You'll be delighted as you choose from a variety of delicious Brazilian dishes, all set within the charming atmosphere of a plant nursery. The menu features classic Brazilian offerings, as well as a selection of small plates (similar to tapas), including pastel, pão de queijo, and fried yucca. Pair your meal with a refreshing cold mate tea for a relaxing yet enticing experience. After your meal, a stroll through the garden makes for a delightful way to aid digestion, and you might even want to pick up a plant or two for your own garden. With excellent food, a lovely ambiance, and a friendly staff, this restaurant is definitely worth a trip across the lake.
I rate the food and the friendliness of the staff here with 4 stars. However, the atmosphere could use some improvement. It was quite warm inside, and it took a while for us to place our order. On the plus side, the food arrived quickly and was absolutely delicious—fresh and full of flavor. After we finished our meal, we waited quite a while before we could get someone to assist us with dessert to go and our check. The staff seemed overwhelmed, so it might be beneficial for them to have an extra server or cashier on hand. Despite this, I would definitely come back for the amazing food. We shared a chicken pastel, a beef pastel, the country chicken over polenta, fried yucca, and black beans. The chicken with polenta was packed with flavor, and everything else was fantastic too!
Wow, what a delightful surprise! This café was absolutely delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful! The dessert was simply fantastic, and the fried yuca was perfect!
This is a fantastic Brazilian restaurant that’s a bit off the usual path. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the food is delightful! We tried the ribs, which were tender and fell right off the bone, along with steak served with yuca fries and a crab empanada. There are charming outdoor seating options at one of the cute tables in the nursery that shares the space with the café. I highly recommend checking it out if you’re in Abita Springs!
