The Lobster Barn - Abington

We have been going off and on for 19 years. Very overpriced and just ok. We don't have anything else like this in the area so it is what it is.

Tonight was my very first visit to this hidden gem (at least hidden to me)...prior to my visit I read the reviews paying close attention to the lobster roll bc that's what my heart was desiring. Although no one raved about the rolls I still wanted to check out the Barn. I'm so happy I did because it was delicious!!! It was FILLED with big chunks of savory lobster meat on a buttered, grilled bun...I understand lobster is expensive right now so at first I hesitated bc it was a bit pricey for my budget but after I ate it I realized it was worth every single penny! Awesome! I'll be back for sure.

The rumors are that the owner used to fish, bring his daily catch back to his garage and sell his fish on ice fresh everyday. Whoa, he was so popular that he built what some may consider the best place to go for anything seafood anywhere around period. If they're was a hankering for fresh full bodied clams that were deep fried to perfection, The Lobster Barn was your spot. Never a bad decision anywhere on the menu. Go do yourself a solid and dine at the Lobster Barn now, you won't regret it.

Fried scallops were filled with water and the batter fell off every time I put my fork in it.

Lobster Barn was an excellent choice for takeout. Their fried clams were particularly delicious, generously served alongside a hearty portion of French fries. The prices were fair compared to other places, and the staff were consistently friendly and welcoming. I heard that it closed in September, and it will certainly be missed.
