My wife and I absolutely loved this little hole in the wall. The food was flavorful, delicious and very authentic. Each dish is made to order by choosing your base dish and adding a protein and level of spice. We ordered the drunken noodles, Pad Thai and crispy calamari. The Pad Thai was very flavorful and perfect balance of sweet spicy. The calamari was made with real squid. Lightly fried and not oily. The level of spicy ranges from 1-4 and the highest level is Thai spicy. My wife and I love spicy food and we initially ordered it to be Thai spicy. The chef talked us down to do level 2 and said that Thai spicy was really spicy. Thank God she did, because level 2 was still very spicy, but it was the right amount of spicy for us. Good heat but not over powering where it's painful. I can only imagine what Thai spicy tastes like. The restaurant is best laid out as a take out restaurant. But there are a couple of benches for 2 people and one small table in the corner that could fit 3 to 4 people. If one decided to dine in. We sat at the small table in the corner and had a great cozy meal.We typically go to Vic's for sushi and Thai food. But I think we will definitely be coming here for Thai and stick to Vic's for sushi only.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian is optionParking: Parking is available in the back of the building through the alley way.Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheel chair accessible.
I was kind of surprised when I got here. Maybe because I didn’t see much interior photos of this restaurant online. This is actually not a regular restaurant, but more like a take out place with a few tables and chairs. Although it is clean and nice, but space is limited. It is definitely not suitable for a large group nor family with baby strollers. They have parking spaces in the rear behind the restaurant. The entrance is narrow! I nearly pass that when it is right next to the restaurant. How about their food? It is not the best, but not the worst. My husband and I thought the food was a bit bland. It got taste but not flavorful enough compare to other Thai cuisine we have tried. We ordered the Tom yum noodle soup with shrimps. We thought it wasn’t sour enough for a tom yum soup base. We also ordered a Papaya salad, a Massamam curry with chicken, and a Thai coffee. None of those really makes me feel ooo or surprised. The Papaya salad was not anything special. The Massamam curry wasn’t too bad. Sweet and a hint of spicy with some taste of coconut milk. But the chicken was a bit rough. The Thai coffee was surprisingly sweet to me. Personally, I’m not a big fan of Thai tea cause too sweet to me, but I didn’t expect the coffee would be sweet too. Overall, I would try once, maybe not so much of a second time on my own.
Rare find... their food is consistently repeatable, and delicious. VEGETARIANS: The Pad woon sen, spicy #5, never fails to disappoint. (WARNING: DO NOT order any spicy dish unless you regularly consume heat. Spicy #5 is on par w/carolina reapers and trinidad scorpion chili peppers) All the many savory flavors of the fresh vegetarian ingredients come thru. Vegs noodes that R crisp, local, PERFECTLY cooked. After I'm done w/the full bowl (uhh, PIG! it's enuff for leftovers) my eyes R tearing and my mouth is burning. It's always the same... PERFECT!!!! SSTK, U R a credit to the restaurant industry. And the owner, her name is Nice... treats her customers like GOLD. True chef and entrepeneur.
