Cotton Patch Café - Abilene

Great comfort food and friendly staff. I had the Brisket Queso and the Chicken Fried Steak. The Dr. Pepper BBQ sauce that comes with the Queso is sweet but couples good with the spicy queso taste. The chicken Fried Steak was almost the size as a plate and was tender with good taste.

I had the grilled Cajun Duo and it was amazing. Everything was good. Children's meals are very cheap with good portions. That would be our Sunday if I lived here.

Such good quality food and cheap prices. Don't tell them! All six of us had something different and everything was good. Our waiter was the greatest. He was friendly, prompt and expected our needs. This place is a way for good food.

Cotton cafe is the underrated restaurant in Abilene. I have eaten there since they are regularly open, and I can honestly say that I never had a bad meal or bad service. I can't say that about any other restaurant in Abilene. The best thing is that I never had to wait for a table more than a few minutes. Also they always bring the food within 15 minutes and it is always hot and tasty! This is always my first choice when you eat on weekends or when the guests are in town. It may not be very beautiful, but it is always good!

2 of last 3 trips they were unable to fill my online order, but NO ONE notified me!! I drove all the way there only to be told my order was not filled. This time they did not have enough green tomatoes to fill my order, the staff told me. It 's just one of those things. It 's not our fault. Then they just walked without offering a refund or at least the difference in price for the smaller order!!?? Had to ask for the manager to get my refund and then was told it would take 7 business days. She then abruptly walked away. I recommend strongly skipping Cotton Patch. Customer Service is not in their vocabulary!! Negative 2 stars!!!
