The Boy Ashore - Aberporth

This is a wooden shack on a beach covered with tarpaulins that charged £10.50 for a glass of wine served in a plastic cup. Even the bar staff apologised for the price. 2 glasses of wine and 1 can of Diet Coke cost £20. This is a beach in Aberporth, not the Ritz in London. We sat on dirty wooden benches and there didn’t even seem to be a toilet so we went to the ship inn for a wee and then got another round of drinks for less than £10 with the same view and all amenities. Top spot! Overlooking the beach with a chilled atmosphere, tunes and stupidly friendly staff. Delicious local produce; burgers, salads, seafood. Not too pricey. Great cocktails too. Lovely little outdoor restaurant, with plenty of cover, food was 10/10, drinks were 10/10, and the view of the beach and little town were amazing. Had a small issue in the kitchen but apologised sincerely and gave us free drinks and potato cakes, couldn’t have asked for a better food experience Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
