Tor-na-coille - Aberdeenshire

We recently moved to Banchory and are thrilled to have discovered The Greedy Goose at Tor-na-coiled hotel. We have dined at this restaurant three times in the past few weeks and each experience has been exceptional. The first time, I decided to try their burger and was blown away by how perfectly it was cooked. The addition of pulled brisket on top of the patty took it to another level - it was the best burger I have ever had. During our most recent visit, we enjoyed the roast turkey with all the trimmings. The turkey was cooked to perfection and accompanied by a delicious selection of vegetables including parsnips, carrots, cabbage, and crispy roast potatoes. The turkey gravy was also delicious. The waiting staff were attentive and friendly, as was Rammi, one of the owners. It's incredible to find such a high-quality restaurant in a relatively small town. Their popularity is evident as they were fully booked for Christmas Day lunch. This is a testament to the excellence of The Greedy Goose.

Definitely worth a visit! A friend and I tried out the new restaurant, The Greedy Goose, located at this hotel. The restaurant bar area has been beautifully renovated. The lunch we had was delicious, with generous portions. The staff were polite, helpful, and attentive. The atmosphere started off a bit quiet until some background music was added, which really enhanced the experience. The prices were very reasonable for the quality of food we received. We would absolutely go back again. My only critique would be that the toilets were clean but quite outdated. However, after speaking with management, we learned that they are slowly renovating the rooms. If they are anything like the new cocktail bar, it will be a great improvement.

Visited the restaurant for the new Sunday carvery. And new menu. We were a party of 9 . We all ordered the carvery which was a choice of chicken and beef or a sharing platter of both. The quality of the food was second to none. Beautifully presented . Staff were very attentive. Would highly recommend coming here . Food on a different level of taste and quality. Restaurant was busy so I’m not the only one who will be recommending the food

From the moment we were welcomed by the friendly and helpful receptionist we realised that all of the staff wanted to make our short stay a happy one.

We received a lovely and friendly welcome into a beautifully decorated restaurant with a warm ambience. The service was excellent and attentive, and the food was delicious. We especially enjoyed the vegan options, like the vegetable skewers on a bed of couscous. Thank you to Rami and the staff for making our special occasion a memorable one. We will definitely be returning.
