The Spotty Bag Shop Bridgeview

We went to the Spotty Bag cafe but ended up leaving because of the incompetent and rude staff. We were seated by a waitress but after waiting 10 minutes, no one came to take our order. When I asked a staff member if we needed to order at the counter, they assured us they would come to our table. However, after waiting for another 20 minutes with no service, we decided to leave. Despite watching other families be seated and served after us, we were ignored. When I inquired if the dark-haired staff member was the manager, she claimed there was no manager and denied our wait time. This lack of accountability confirmed our decision to leave. It was a disappointing experience and we would not recommend this cafe. It seems the owners and staff do not pay attention to negative reviews, as they could benefit from improving their service. We suggest avoiding this place and trying a different cafe that values their customers.

Shop is an Aladdin's cave and good for a rake around when in area. Only quibble was it was difficult to find a member of staff in the shoe section. Lady who I eventually found didn't seem too pleased at being taken away from the kitchenware section to help me get the shoes I was wanting to buy. Had lunch in the restaurant-girls serving were all so pleasant and cheerful. Despite being busy we were seated and quickly given our drinks while we waited for our food. The cakes looked lovely though we didn't sample them on this occasion. Food was nice. Well worth a visit if you are in the vicinity.

Worst chicken fillets I have ever tasted had to wait a long time to expensive don't go there for food

This cafe may be small, but they definitely excel in everything they do. The Cullen Skink was good and the turkey cranberry panino was truly delightful, both served by a friendly and helpful waitress. The tea tasted just right. The view of the bay may be a bit gloomy today, but that's just the Scottish weather for you. The atmosphere was great with music playing at just the right volume. I would certainly recommend this place for a quick lunch.
