The Mintlaw Chipper - Aberdeenshire

Slow service, even when ordering ahead. Often missing items and portion sizes don’t seem to be measured, it’s a totally random amount each time. Most recently found what looks like a flour beetle in my food. AVOID.

I am not a chippy person but due to circumstances I have used this place twice in a week It us as poor as you get portions are tiny really I mean tiny the Chips are terrible iff cuts crispy bits fat us obviously dirty as chips are grubby and many of them burnt marks On the positive side I had a chip steak and it was really tasty lesson learned don’t but chips here it’s a rip off I travelled to Glasgow every week I get double the portion and if good quality and half the price must admit it’s a bit if a travel fir a supper though

Disgusting fish supper. Batter semi liquid and fish cold. Chips undercooked. For the price paid it was very poor value for money. You would think that in this day and age of rising prices, they would try to justify their high prices. Will not be back. Plenty other chip shops around.

Visited for the first time today with my mum and the fish and chips were absolutely delicious and served with a very generous pot of tea. The staff were courteous and polite and we were served our food piping hot very quickly after ordering. Excellent! We will be back.

This is what £5.50 gets your from the Mintlaw Chipper. A large portion of chips is £3.80... Which is ridiculous even if they managed to fill the tray. At least the can of Cola was cheap at £1.70. Fair enough if I was in the TECA waiting to see Ed Sheeran. Nae picking up a pokey o chips on the way home.
