Boar's Head Tandoori - Aberdeenshire

BOAR’S HEAD TANDOORI I had intended to have a Sunday carvery lunch but instead revisited old stamping grounds at Kinmuck, near Inverurie and dined at the Boar’s Head Tandoori, Kinmuck. My party of three enjoyed an excellent meal in an imaginative restful ambiance. Our individual selection of Lamb Vindaloo, Goan Fish and Tandoori King Prawn Massala was accompanied by plain Papadum, Chutney Tray, plain steamed rice, Dhall Fry and home cooked Peswari Naan Bread all beautifully presented on hot plates in mid table. Cleared plates were testament to the excellence of our choices. I was impressed by the professionalism, I like the quiet village and the large car park. I will be back.

After the 25 hour wait without apology, the food finally arrived and despite not being what I ordered, actually tasted quite good.

My group of three had a fantastic meal in a peaceful and creative atmosphere. We chose Lamb Vindaloo, Goan Fish, and Tandoori King Prawn Massala, along with plain Papadum, Chutney Tray, steamed rice, Dhall Fry, and homemade Peswari Naan Bread, all beautifully presented on hot plates in the middle of the table. Our empty plates spoke volumes about how delicious our selections were. I was impressed by the professionalism, enjoyed the tranquility of the village, and appreciated the ample parking. I will definitely be returning.

Now closed Mondays. All the usual favourites and some specialities. Great service and good food.

We have had several wonderful experiences at the Boar's Head Indian restaurant. The food is delicious, the service is quick and efficient, and the atmosphere is cozy. The owners are welcoming and polite. I ordered my usual Korma dish, while my husband and our friend tried something new. They both said it was the best Indian food they have ever tasted. We were pleasantly surprised to receive complimentary oranges, grapes, and chocolate mints from the staff. Despite the busy night, they took the time to take photos with us and chat. We highly recommend this restaurant.
