The Braided Fig - Aberdeen

The bar area has a lively market vibe, almost reminiscent of a cocktail lounge. There's also a large, illuminated tree that adds to the ambiance, creating a cozy, inviting space above the drink area with low tables and comfortable seating. It’s simply beautiful. I started with a warm duck salad, which was delightful. For my main course, I had the market special of the day: pan-seared cod served with potatoes, broccoli, petit pois, and a pea purée—an outstanding dish. To top it all off, I enjoyed a delicious mint chocolate chip dessert, a perfect end to a fantastic meal. The chef truly excels here, using high-quality ingredients that are well-executed and beautifully presented. Combined with excellent service, this makes for a wonderful dining experience in a lovely setting. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Amazing 5 course taster meal for restaurant week. All the food and drinks were incredible, the staff were lovely and attentive; a wonderful experience, would happily visit again.

Complete menu for vegan, two to three cure options for starters/goods/desserts. the staff is a little crazy, but it fits in the mood of the restaurant! eating is delicious, best buffalo cauliflower I've ever had. are also huge!
