James Jo Cafe - Aberdeen

The food was tasty and the owners were extremely welcoming.

James and Jo were the previous owners of Donte Pope, who now runs this charming vegan-friendly café with his wife, Alicia Myers. On the bookshelf, you can see photos of James and Jo who passed away young from cancer. Donte and Alicia have decided to honor their memory by offering healthy food in a welcoming environment. I immediately felt the warm ambiance as soon as I walked through the door. It was as if I had known them for years. The café was clean and inviting, and the food (I had the vegan burrito) was delicious. But what truly made the experience special was the enjoyable conversation and laughter with this lovely couple. We found james jo’s on happy cow. very friendly and welcoming owners who treat them like one of the family! I ordered the hot tamale burger. this burger had an excellent tasteful sauce, not too sweet, not too hot, very tasteful. they really should market their burgers as gabelburgers. they need to use a knife and fork to eat them. it's not bad. one of the most tasteful burgers I ever had! my wife ordered the chikn' fil a sandwich. another great sandwich you have to eat with a fork! I will notice that they offer vegan and milk cheese. so make sure they specify.

We have the hot tamale, chic sandwich, minenstrone and red velvet. everything was perfect! super tasty! faster, friendly service! we will definitely go back when we are back in the opposite! I recommend this restaurant!

I visited Havre de Grace for the weekend and ended up getting every meal from here, it was that good! Their personal pizzas were amazingly seasoned and the sandwiches were massive and delicious. On top of everything else, the people who worked there were so incredibly friendly and kind! I would go back any day of the week (literally They also have this really delicious sauce that they also sell by the bottle, so if you’re super into it you can take it home with you!
