Maru Sushi - Abbotsford

While there were some real highlights in things like their spider roll and dynamite roll, I was under-impressed with the service or layout for a group of 14. Even with reservations, they seemed shocked when we arrived, were slow to offer drinks, took long with first round of food, and then forgot about our second round until we reminded them after waiting an uncomfortably long time. Several attempts at getting things were met with puzzled looks (language barrier?)

Nice décor. Friendly, efficient service. Serves both Korean and Japanese food. Have only had the Japanese, but everything has always been of good quality. Rolls are fresh, yakisoba or teriyaki comes piping hot out of the kitchen. Lots of refills of water and tea. Recommend for sure.

First time there, had high hopes as it looks like a good atmosphere. Unfortunately thats where it ended. Will say upfront the rolls were good. I really enjoy a place that has fresh seafood and good saki... However at Maru the saki tasted off and stale...when asked what brand it was, the answer was it came out of a box.Several items were less than fresh and the salmon had bones in it. For the high expectations I had going in... Will not return.

My husband and I have gone to this restaurant several times and have always enjoyed our meal. The staff are very friendly. The good selection menu. Take-out orders from here are always our go to.

My go to sushi place. I've tried quite a few different places around Abbotsford but the quality of their food always brings me back. Can be on the pricey side, depending on what you get, but the quality is always there.
