Klokken - Aarhus

Do not waste your time and money. Poor and overpriced food. Horrible service. We were in a group. They have imposed that all should eat the same food, disrespecting individual preferences. The food was not great. The deep fried pork was pure, tasteless fat. The fries were cold, dry and covered in salt to disguise the poor oil taste. The meat arrived cold. Just quantity, no taste. I could have eaten better for 50% of the price. Only one type of red wine or white wine by glass, and a poor wine anyway. The waiter was not able to attend the table properly and in the end has not accept to split the bill among people. One bill for table, the house's rules. Why? Laziness in doing the job of splitting the bill. Arrogant responses to request to split the bill. Disappointing. I will never more enter this place. Shame on you.

I had a great experience with a group booking with the Klokken Rsstaurant. We had a very long day of meetings and coming to the venue was a great experience especailly once the food arrived. It was perfect, we loved it, service was good and the hospitality was great. Thank you for making our trip to Aarhus memorable

Looking at the reviews and at the venue itself, one would expect high end Danish cuisine. Honestly I had selected this restaurant because they serve schnitzel, which is always a safe choice for kids. I don 't know whether traditional Danish cuisine prescribes smothering everything in thick sauce, but certainly the chef did not make an effort in overcoming this for some fresher-looking dishes. The wienerschnitzel came with a large saucepot of mushroom sauce. The hamburger was swimming in a sea of gravy. Generally this is a sign of trying to conceal average cooking with creams and generally fat condiments, and I thought this was no exception. We gladly skipped dessert. Considering the price, very underwhelming. Would not recommend at all, surprised to find this is a travellers ' choice .

During our stay at Aarhus we were looking for a place with a very traditional cuisine and that was a good choice. The food was delicious, really big portions and good beer. I recommend .

The waiting time was too long , 50 min to have the main course . The dishes were good , but not for my taste , too much souses , everywhere. maybe is the peculiarity of danish cuisine .
