Grotesque Absinth-Bar - Aachen

I can't compare this place to another absinthe bar as it was here I was first introduced to absinthe properly, however I could not recommended it more highly. The location, decor and vibe is all great, but the shining star is the staff not only welcoming and affable, but very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their drinks, giving me all the information and recommendations I could ask for as a novice. Definitely one to stop at in Aachen.

We read about this place and had to go there and check out the 1920’s atmosphere that transports you. The owner had such grace and knowledge about the 1920’s area and the Absinthe. He took care of each person in the bar as if they where vip family guest. Played the piano. You can feel the love that went into creating this capsule in time. With even a working wall mounted phone from the late1920’s begin 1930’s. This place is welcoming to young and old, artists and the every day Joe’s. An unforgettable experience that will stimulate all you sense. I am sure you love this place as we did.

This absinth bar in burlesque style is a real absinth experience! Worth a visit and and a drink or two with friends!

Again and again the bar is refreshed by new facilities from the 20s. One of the few bars where you can drive stylishly in Aachen and where the top and waitresses are as stylish. The good selection of drinks and their good class has been reported several times.

Super friendly waiters who would like to advise you in detail in the selection of drinks (the card includes about 30 absinthe, but of course also "conventional 2 drinks). Due to the low table density very cozy, because no standing guests are served, there is no amount. You're welcome!
