The Fifth Season - <a href

In town for a wedding and ate at Fifth Season tonight. The venue is charming. Had a great table in the upstairs dining room. Server started off strong — very attentive and personable. After placing our order we got very little service. Nobody cleared empty cocktail and wine glasses, bread plates and empty bread baskets that were piled up on one side of the table. Food was good, but the way they do the prix fixe is weird. If you prefer an entree that is not on the prix fixe menu, it's much more expensive, which makes it seem like the prix fixe is sort of the “discount” menu instead of a showcase. Again, food both on the prix fixe and wider menus was good, I just thought the pricing was odd. Service seemed quite slow, but we had a brand new server, so that might not always be the case. You have very good food but closing at 7:00 p.m. on a Saturday night is unacceptable!!!

Recently had a fantastic meal at The Fifth Season. The staff was friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. Overall it was great and I look forward to returning with friends!

Service was slow and then the waiter seemed annoyed when I asked for the check. We never got the appetizer. Food wasn't hot which tells me it was sitting there for a while. The gnocchi was swimming in a ton of pinkish sauce and the salmon overcooked. The duck breast was good. Nice atmosphere. I will give it another try as I know staffing is a challenge these days.
