Juan Valdez - 4ta. Avenida

We love Juan Valdez and would have it every day while in Colombia, but it is especially great in a hot, hot city like Cartagena. We sought refuge here for hours during the hottest part of the day!

This is the national café shop by excellence. Its products are full of quality and with a lot of different flavors. And if you don't like hot coffee when you are at a hot city, in Juan Valdez they sell cold and ice coffee.

I kept stopping here for coffee, especially Cafe con arquipe! Great service, excellent quality coffee

We went to Cartagena for a few hours to experience what it’s like to be in Colombia. Of course, we were only able to taste a bit of it and one of those is their famous Colombian coffee. Store was packed and coffee products were...almost gone when we arrived. What I liked about this is the Cafe’s chai latte! We have a well-known coffee brand/chain aboard the ship and it never tasted as good as Juan Valdez’s Chai Latte. There is nothing more like a cup of hot chai latte on a lovely day.

Juan Valdez is by far the most popular chain for coffee enjoyment and variety, but the Valdez located at the Centro de Convenciones does not live up to its name. Avoid it because you will be disappointed with the lack of freshness of the coffee,...milk gone a little off, and other details. The other Juan Valdez places in town are very good.
