Contribuiți la feedbackI love the atmosphere here. Staff spoke great English. The menus were funny and the decorations felt like in the south. The food was perfect, just like my family. After I lived in Thailand for a year, it was as if I had been transported back home for a few hours while I was eating here. I recommend it to everyone, especially if you feel a little homesick. Great comfort food!
Gumbo was an extreme disappointment, and its accompanying biscuit was an aged roll from the grocery store, told by staff it 's microwaved to inedible state. Burrito was okay, but the tortillas shows age as out of the kitchen it was already broken open and flaking apart. Questionable place seeming on its last legs. Asked for owner to adjust the outrageous 295 baht for the bland and lifeless bowl of rice gravy trying to pass for gumbo, to be told management isn 't available, so nothing can be done. Over paid. Under delivered. If you want southwestern food, try Salsa Kitchen if you 're considering southern soul food....just do your self a favor and don 't get it here.
Went here with my girlfriend after needing a little break from Thai cuisine. I don 't know if we just came on a bad day, but jeez... talk about a tourist trap. The hand made chips might have been great a week or two ago, but were now too stale to eat. The tacos were sub par but passable (we come from California, so maybe our expectations for Mexican food are higher than the average customer), however not acceptable for 100 baht per. My girlfriend spent all night throwing up, which may or may not have been due to her fish taco, as we ate a lot of things that day... but according to her it definitely didn 't make her feel all that great. And to top it off, I honestly don 't know how they screwed up Mac Cheese this bad. We would have much rather just had cold Kraft mac... not the lukewarm concoction they handed us for 150 baht. We couldn 't touch it. The thing is, neither of us are picky eaters this is the first negative food review I 've ever given. I just strongly feel that if they 're going to charge this high of prices relative to the surrounding restaurants, whoever owns this place needs to do a serious revaluation of the food quality the cooks are outputting.
The pulled pork sandwich and the ribs are really good. The woman tried the cookies and Gravy and was not impressed. Our friend loved the Mexican food, but he's mischievous, so he probably doesn't know a good Mexican. They make their own pickles and they are fantastic. Cheap prices, generous portions and delicious. Our new favorite place for western food in Chiang Mai.
HUGE menu, HUGE portions, super relaxed atmosphere with great (Memphis style) music and great (Southern Style) food. I was really surprised You have serious about any American comfort food you can imagine! Homemade pimples, free chips and salsa, and homemade salsa on the table... You cannot go wrong!!!!
