Měi Rì Shí Táng - 当別町

This is a Showa-era set meal restaurant! It's cheap, delicious, and generous in portion size! The rice is especially delicious! It's perfect!

When all the restaurants in the surrounding area were closed, this place was bustling at lunchtime. The menu mainly consists of fried dishes, with a variety of croquettes being a highlight. The portions, including rice, are very generous.

This is a delicious set meal restaurant. It seems that the variety of the menu has decreased, but there are still 10 types of set meal menus, and you can choose either clam soup or miso soup. I ordered the flagship menu, the daily dining set meal for 750 yen. It includes simmered mackerel in miso, minced cutlet, simmered hijiki seaweed, stir-fried vegetables, miso soup, and rice. Every dish is very delicious! The rice portion is generous enough even for a regular size, so if you're not confident, you may want to choose a small rice. The fish fry set meal seems to be a popular menu, but unfortunately it was sold out when I went this time. What a shame. The parking lot is spacious, making it easy to use even for those coming from a distance. In fact, the location is difficult to access without a car. Next time, I definitely want to try the fish fry set meal. I want to visit this great set meal restaurant again and again.

土曜日の13時過ぎに訪問。 お昼のピークを過ぎていたため席は空いておりましたが、ちょっと前まで満席だったことが伺える店内でした。 元気な女将さん ? に案内され着席、メニューとにらめっこします。選んだのはメンチカツ定食（680円）しかもご丁寧にカロリー表記までありました（メンチカツ定食は987kcal…案外あるんですね。。。） 10分程で提供され、実食。 以前にも書き込まれていますが、この写真でご飯普通盛りですので少食の方は少なめで注文された方が良いと思います。薄めのメンチカツですが味はしっかりとあり、衣もサクッとあがっていました。またお味噌汁は豚汁とあさり汁どちらかを選べるようで、あさりを選択。出汁がでていて、しかも隠し味の柚子が利いていてとても美味しかったです。 昔ながらの定食屋さんといった趣きですが、このお値段でこの味ならコストパフォーマンスが高いですね。近くにゴルフ場もたくさんありますから、プレー後にも良さそうです。 ごちそうさまでした。
