ラーメン Xǐ Fú - 苅田町

I visited this restaurant for the first time on January 21, 2022. It was before noon, but it was still quite popular and the turnover of customers felt fast. I sat at the counter and ordered the ramen for 680 yen, choosing the regular firmness of the noodles. In a lively atmosphere where the staff moved efficiently, my bowl arrived in just about 5 minutes! That was fast! The ramen had a simple composition of about 2 slices of chashu, wood ear mushrooms, green onions, and white sesame seeds. The soup was a light pork bone broth and was quite delicious. While the 680 yen price tag was a bit on the higher side for a simple ramen, I left satisfied. I would like to visit again if I have the chance.

The soup is light and refreshing, yet it has a rich and delicious flavor. The free toppings of spicy mustard greens and red miso-like paste are delicious, and even just these toppings alone would pair well with rice. Personally, I find the ramen to be on the rich side in flavor, so I prefer to enjoy the ramen on its own without mixing or adding toppings, and save the toppings to enjoy with rice.

The lively shout of the head chef echoes in the seasoned interior, creating a pleasant atmosphere. I ordered the limited special char siu ramen. The taste was delicious, but the price may be a bit high.
