When I visited recently, I met someone who had been transferred from Yawatahama. Yawatahama itself is a well-known fugu producing area, so high-quality fugu is readily available. Most fugu restaurants in Yawatahama serve generous portions of tessa (thinly sliced fugu). People from other towns often ask, "How many servings is this?" showing that the value for money is incredible compared to urban restaurants. Additionally, in the summer, you can enjoy the taste of Yawatahama's fresh fish. After sashimi and grilled fish, the finishing touch is ajimeshi. This ajimeshi is unique to the Nanyo region of Ehime Prefecture and is something you must try!
The blowfish was delicious. The fin sake had an amazing flavor. And I was moved by the grilled shirako. It was soft and creamy, a taste I've never had before!!!
