Generally, a good soba restaurant is priced on the higher side, but this one felt a bit more expensive than usual. The soba was delicious, with a chewy texture and a good flavor. The tempura was also crispy. I also tried the soba ice cream and the Japanese brown sugar ice cream, both of which were very well-made. The soba ice cream had a texture and flavor reminiscent of soba grains, while the Japanese brown sugar ice cream was not overly sweet, thanks to the high-quality sugar used. Although the ice cream was pricey at 400 yen each, I think it's worth trying at least once. I found the flavors to be memorable and would like to eat them again. However, I think they should consider a better layout for customer seating. It was strange to see people crowded together in this time of COVID when there were empty spaces available. Also, I believe having partitions would provide some peace of mind.
I had the kakesoba for 700 yen and the morisoba for 880 yen, both were delicious. The broth of the kakesoba had a light soy sauce flavor but was tasty with a strong dashi taste. The appearance of the soba was like countryside soba, but it was easy to eat without the unique taste of countryside soba. There were some items on the menu that seemed to take longer to prepare, so it's best to go with some extra time to spare. It took an hour just to eat the kakesoba and morisoba.
I visited the restaurant at noon on Sunday and had to wait for an hour. The food was delicious and the service was polite.
