We started off with some deer liver pate and homemade jam courtesy of the chef, and it started the dinner of perfectly. It was delicious. We then had charcuterie as an appetizer with boar, deer, beef, and bear cold cuts, and they were divine. We followed it up with the duck confit and venison steak for the mains. Everything was amazing. Our server was tremendous as well, attending to us all the time and making sure we never ran out of drinks, etc. We finished the meal with a classic slovenia pie. If you want venison/game, this is definitely the place to be, and the owners are very inviting and so nice. If you ever find yourself in Kranj, make sure to stop here for lunch or dinner.

This is the best meat osteria in Slovenia, bar none. I'm a cook and hunter myself, but this place beats my cooking by a long shot, every time. Very reasonable price for the top quality you get and a cozy laid back atmosphere.
Amazing experience! You can find unique food all the time. The owner is fishernan and hunter. You can buy different types of salami, marmelades etc...will visit soon again!!!
In my oppinion the very best restaurant in the area for game and meat in general. This chef is the real deal. Entertaining and knows what he is doing. Very good price considering the quality, meat from the forrest and they grow the vegetables in their own garden. I recommend bear, blood sausage, pheasant soup and gibanica. I come here often and they are consistent. No ups and downs.
