Demani Lodge - Zanzibar

Dear people of the Demani Lodge and all people looking for a very good place to stay Paje. Last time we were with Demani was 2016. Then we had a wonderful time. Therefore we decided to go back and noticed that Demani did not change too much, except for the good. The very relaxed atmosphere we enjoyed so much was still there. The people who are very friendly and always busy make our stay in Demani good. For those who do not know Demani: It is a very nice place to stay. Beautiful and very clean beach houses, not luxurious, but with everything you need (hot private shower, good mattresses on beds etc.). All this is located in a "beach garden", which offers both shade and places in the sun, along with a very beautiful pool. The beach is a 5-minute walk away. We liked the food there also very, but enough tight alternatives if you prefer it. Juma, Gabriel,, Francis, Issa, Linn, and the staff we don't know the name, thank you again for our wonderful stay. We will be back, Alexander, Janneke and Femke

We went there for a Thursday night BBQ and the Afrobeats Reggaeton Party afterwards and decided to stay there for the night. It was a beautiful night, plentiful and well-designed place, Chill Vibes, fun people. The party with live music and the fire show made it unforgettable; but I would probably not want to stay there any longer than a night because there is a little in-the-middle-of-nowhere. But the Thursday party is highly recommended! Many people and one of the best parties I had on Zanzibar until 4AM:

We were in one of their apartments and it was really very positive! Beautiful handmade furniture, all work equipment, very good condition of the house and a very nursing owner who reacted (the few small comments we had) very quickly and efficiently. It is really extraordinary to consider the local culture where things often take a long time to be fixed. The owner definitely knows how to do good business and guest guests and we have very good value for money. The staff (cleaning, pool maintenance, etc.) always showed up on time, which is also unfortunately not the standard at many places here. I can recommend the Demani apartments thoroughly.

We enjoyed Demani Lodge BBQ nights with live music and swimming pool. Nice place to hang around with friends.

Our favourite accomodation in Zanzibar. We stayed at two other properties during the trip but Demani Lodge was fantastic. Our room was spacious, clean and very quiet. We loved the pool, it was perfect as the Hotel is not located on the beach. That is maybe the only weakness of this place, but the beach is just a few minutes from the Hotel. We liked the area as well as there are a lot of bars and restaurants around. Breakfast was great, crepes are delicious and the food selection too. We could enjoy local food and we loved it. Staff is friendly and we really liked the vibe of this place, good reggae and chillout music! We just had a unlucky experience with their taxi driver that left us with a bad feeling at the end of the stay. Despite of this, our experience at Demani was extremely positive. Totally recommend this place!
